To Highlight or Not to Highlight??

As far back as I can remember I have always had an obsession with dying my hair to make it more Vibrant and catchy and to make my eyes stand out, I've gone from black, to blonde to chocolate brown, cherry cola, etc. While i have died that processing down A LOT over the past few years, i cant help but get an itch to change it up when the seasons change.. who doesn't want beachy-highlights in the summer time???

But they are hard to keep up with --- pricey, and finding a stylist who can actually do them RIGHT has been tricky for me....

Here is what I was thinking of more of less:

but getting there will be a challenge--- seeing as though dumb-dumb over here went pretty dark for the winter.. now i have roots and a whole buncha mess to fix! LOL ( tip: don't stray to far away from your natural color. EVER!)

The biggest question - ARE HIGHLIGHTS EVEN IN STYLE ANYMORE?

Here is what I  found out:

Elle.com says " Sun-kissed highlights are always in!"

Chiff.com also said: "Trends in 2010 tend more toward the traditional bright and vibrant highlights of the past, including strawberry and even platinum blond hues predicted to be the hot new look this summer."

NICE!!!!


I'll keep you guys updated and post before and afters if I can figure this all out.
